DRAFT FOR LEGAL REVIEW — NOT FINAL LEGAL ADVICE.
This document was not supplied in the original drafting brief. It exists because the checkout acknowledgement and the Buyer Terms both refer to a Refund & Return Policy, and a link to a document that does not exist is worse than no link. The content below restates the behaviour the platform actually implements; counsel should replace it with reviewed text.
1. Scope
This policy describes how returns, refunds and related adjustments are handled on CintaMart. It supplements, and does not replace, rights a buyer may have under applicable law.
2. Raising a Request
A buyer may raise a request through the platform against a specific order item.
Before an item has been dispatched, a request is treated as a cancellation. After delivery, a request is treated as a return.
3. Return Window
Returns must be raised within the return window applicable at the time of delivery. The platform displays the applicable window; at the date of this draft it is configured as 14 days from delivery.
4. Assessment
A return may require the goods to be received and assessed before a refund is completed. A cancellation raised before dispatch does not require goods to be returned.
5. Refund Amounts
A refund may cover the item price and, where applicable, associated delivery charges. Where only part of an order is refunded, amounts are allocated to the affected item.
6. Effect on Delivery Confirmation
Where a return, refund or dispute is open against an item, automatic delivery confirmation does not take place for that item while the matter remains open.
7. Method of Refund
Refunds are returned through the original payment method where reasonably practicable, using approved payment infrastructure.
